Sunday brunch and Art

On November 3, 2014 by Giovanna

Sunday lunch with the family”. It’s the most important moment of the week for an Italian. Even if we are in the USA we decided to use this tradition to close Domenico Monteforte’s art exhibition in the best way. “Lunch” was a Brunch, and the “family” was made by all the people that decided to share this event with us.

One glass of Prosecco to start, a tour of the gallery to have a look at the painter’s works, finger food and, after our thanks to the artist for this collaboration, everyone had the chance to drink nice Italian wine and taste a wonderful Tuscan Brunch made by the fantastic Viola Buitoni. Her menu was not just created to match the Italian art, but was moreover a free inspiration of the Chef observing Monteforte’s works.

Special guest of the night: Nicola Luisotti, music Director of San Francisco Opera; Jon Finck, Director of Communication and Public Affairs of SF Opera; and Fabrizio Vona, Superintendent of the Historical, Artistic and Ethno-anthropological Heritage for the city and the Museums of Naples and the Royal Palace in Caserta.

Monteforte’s art was the perfect frame for this meeting, with laughter, pleasant conversation and good wine and food. In case you didn’t have the opportunity to see his paintings, we would like to announce that the exhibition is extended till November the 14th.

Our aim is promoting real Italian culture. Come over and you’ll discover a great Little Italy in San Francisco.
